I've been freelancing since May 2024. During this time, I've worked as a food trucker, cook and marketing strategist at Bossy J's BBQ. Bossy J's started with my dad selling pulled pork sandwiches outside a grocery store. We're now a thriving catering and food truck business with signature family recipes and clients all over Pike county, KY.
3 Enrollment Marketing, Inc. | Higher Education
Remote (Jan 2022 - May 2024)
At 3E, I designed large-scale, multi-platform marketing campaigns in collaboration with a core team of creatives. The team produced with a tech-driven start-up mindset, often meeting tight deadlines and quick turnarounds. Visual consistency, accuracy and eye-catching motion graphics were my focus at 3E.
Within six months, I designed and built 10+ campaigns across multiple platforms for a variety of sophisticated higher education clients while learning multiple new tools and software. All clients met and most exceeded their enrollment goals as a result of those campaigns.
Later on, I lead conversations with clients at the beginning of each campaign cycle to assess and establish visual direction. I then worked with designers and writers to ensure each asset was developed in close alignment with the client's vision and goals while implementing a modern marketing philosophy.
Additionally, I worked with other leaders to establish processes and training across all team segments. I assisted in communicating and teaching product strategy to the design team specifically.
P&P Creative | Branding and Web Design
Mount Sterling, KY (Aug 2019 - Dec 2021)
At P&P creative, I designed brands and marketing materials for organizations like Mountain Association, Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky, KyPolicy, Appalachians for Appalachia and Union Church. I contributed to website design, print publications and social media to establish consistency within brand interpretation. I created brand guideline documents for several clients and provided long term support when needed.
I found my creative voice at P&P. Working with Kentucky orgs fed my heart while I learned to craft thorough brand identities that tell important stories loud and proud.
Eastern Kentucky University | Communications & Brand Management
Richmond, KY (May 2015 - Aug 2019)
EKU, my alma mater, was the perfect first job. I gained a variety of skills working with designers, strategists, writers, web developers and videographers who enthusiastically shared knowledge and good humor. Here's a summary of what we accomplished:
Admissions and Recruitment Material: Our two-person design team produced 30+ visually consistent print pieces each summer in collaboration with Admissions leaders and the in-house Printing Services team.

The Alumni Magazine: I designed multiple spreads for the biannual publication each year. I provided collaborative design assistance and perspective to the Art Director, Writer and Digital Media Manager throughout drafting process.

Social media: I scaled consistent social media strategy in collaboration with the Digital Media Manager through established tone and design aesthetic. We introduced Instagram Stories and expanded student engagement on Facebook and Instagram. Within eight months, Instagram followers tripled without the use of paid ads.

Brand Camp: I lead presentations during a week-long intensive series for partners across campus about branding, communication strategies, licensing and in-house print production. This project resulted in deeper campus-wide understanding of brand standards and closer relationships with other departments.

EKU Casting Call: I partnered with the Digital Media Manager to create EKU Casting Call, a video interview and content creation project where students shared their academic, professional and personal experiences in the EKU community. Quotes, video clips and perspectives gathered during this project were used for a variety of marketing and communications purposes.

Student Mentorship: I closely mentored student designers and social media strategists as they produced material for the communications and brand management department.

Signature style
As a designer, I can work within any visual language to make something fresh. However, my personal style blends vintage charm, vivid colors, and classic illustrations into a modern, mixed-media approach—think of it as maximalism with a savvy editor :) I stay inspired by collage (digital and physical), painting, ceramics, film photography, traditional sign painting, visual storytelling and more.
